Transcript
Hello everyone, in this video we will discuss about how to tweak BMC pool size for XML form service. XML form service forms the basis of conversion in form or output service. At times you may have seen limited number of concurrent XML form service processes. In case there is a requirement to increase the number of concurrent XML form service processes, we can tweak the BMC pool size parameters as per the choice. At present the default value of pool max is 4. The actual value we need to set depends on the hardware configuration and the expected usage. It is recommended that the lower limit of pool max should not be less than the number of available CPUs and the upper limit must be determined by the load pattern. Generally it is set to twice the number of CPU cores. There are two ways to tweak the JMX parameters. Via JMX console and also by tweaking JVM arguments. In this video we are going to take a look at tweaking BMC pool size via JMX console. The drawback of this method is since it is runtime, the changes are reset once the server restarts. For logging into JMX console, open the connection window and enter the remote connection string and click on connect. After login navigate to XML form service under MBEANS. Traverse to attributes and change the value of pool max. Click on refresh and the changes are saved. Thank you.
