Hello everyone, today we will be discussing the steps to enable verbose ORB trace for XML form service conversions in Unix. Troubleshooting BMCs can be a tricky affair, more so for those that depend on Unix libraries. So we need to capture trace level logs to troubleshoot the issue in detail. For XML form service conversion in Unix, we have to capture ORB trace logs following some very simple steps. Firstly, we need to traverse to SVC native directory. Please note that the SVC native directory is created when you deploy AEM Forms ER on an application server. So we can see the libraries for all the services under SVC native. In this case, we are using JBoss application server so we can find the directory structure under the JBoss directory itself. But in case of any other application server, you can check the same under temp directory. We need to navigate to the XML form service script file. Upon opening it, we will navigate to the end of the file. Please note that the command shown on screen will help us generate verbose ORB trace logs. We will then run the highlighted command on the screen to generate dumps for the libraries in XML form in the dump.txt file. The second command will give us the dump of all the environment variables. And lastly, the final command will help us generate verbose ORB trace logs for XML form service conversions. Please make sure that you kill all running XML form service processes on this server and invoke a new conversion to generate the ORB trace logs. So in this way, we can successfully enable verbose ORB trace for XML form service conversions in Unix. Thank you.
