Hello everyone, in this video we will show you how to enable performance logging in AEM Forms to debug issues related to forms and output service. Many a times we face issues with form rendering for some forms when multiple calls to forms or output are involved. In such cases, it becomes difficult to find out which forms are causing the issue. This can be resolved by enabling performance logging in AEM Forms. To enable performance logging in OSGI stack, visit AEM web console log support page and click on add new logger. Set log level as debug and enter the name you wish the log file to have in the log file field. Here we have named the file as performance logging. Set the parameter for logger field as shown. Once done, click on save and performance logging has been enabled in OSGI stack. The log file generated will be available in the log folder with the file name you have set. For J2E stack, there are two methods to enable performance logging. If you are using an API call, set the integer parameter of the required service as 1002 to enable performance logging. The log file generated will be available in the SVC native folder of your AEM Forms directory once the API is called. Another method for J2E stack is to use the workbench. Locate the section in workbench according to the service. For example, for generate PDF output to service, the location in workbench is general render options. Under the setting, check the debug enable field and set audit log value as 1002 to enable performance logging. The logs will be available in the server logs in workbench. You can follow same steps to enable performance logging in forms as well as output services in AEM Forms. Thank you for watching this video. Thank you for watching.
