In today’s digital landscape, optimizing your content supply chain is vital. Adobe Experience Manager assets is the foundation of this process, providing a comprehensive solution for managing digital assets. Paired with Adobe Express, which offers powerful, yet user-friendly creative tools, this combination democratizes content creation, making it accessible to all team members. Together, they transform content supply chains, enhancing productivity and redefining content production and management processes. AEM Assets integrates natively with Adobe Express, so you can directly access content stored in AEM Assets from within the Adobe Express user interface. This allows you to edit assets in the Express canvas and then save new or edited content back to an AEM Assets repository. To get started, open Adobe Express and create a new Adobe Express file or open an existing one. Once the Express file is open, click the Assets menu option in the left rail. This will load the Assets menu to the left of your canvas, showing your AEM repositories. Note that if you have access to multiple AEM Assets repositories, you can select the one you want to use from the Repository dropdown, and the folders and assets below will update to reflect the selected category. Let’s explore a common scenario where Adobe Express and AEM Assets can be used together to enhance your content supply chain. First, let’s use approved brand assets managed in AEM Assets to create a new promotional poster in Adobe Express. We will use an approved image and add a promotional tagline to it. First, we’ll locate the asset we want to use in AEM Assets. We’ll drag and drop the image onto our canvas in the Open Express file, allowing us to use any of Adobe Express’s tools to manipulate it. We’ll adjust the image on the canvas as needed, and then we can quickly add a block of text to the image. First, we’ll add a yellow rectangle, and then we’ll place our tagline over the rectangle. Using Adobe Express, it’s simple to add and adjust these elements to our liking. Adobe Express even offers several AI features that recommend options that might work well for our file. Here, we can browse through some suggested fonts for our tagline. Let’s check out a few. Some of these are okay, but I think I like this one the best. Let’s go with that. Once finished, we can save the completed product back to AEM Assets so our team can use it in their marketing campaigns. To do this, we’ll click Share in the upper right corner of the screen. Then in the right pane, select AEM Assets from the Storage section. This displays the Assets modal where we’ll name the asset and select the location in AEM Assets where we want to save it. Once saved, the asset will be available in AEM Assets for use by the rest of our team. It’s as simple as that. Let’s look at another scenario where Adobe Express and AEM Assets comes together. In this scenario, we’ll use Adobe Express to generate a new image from scratch and add text to it. In Adobe Express, we’ll use the Text to Image Generative AI capability. We can enter the text prompt to generate an image of a surfboard on a beach. And Adobe Express’s generative AI will create several images based on the text prompt we entered. We can click through the thumbnails to view each of the generated images in full size, or if we want to see more options, we can click the Load More button. If we’re not satisfied with our options, we can adjust the generative AI parameters. Let’s request that the generative image be more photorealistic. These options are looking closer to what I want. A few of these are good, but let’s see if there’s any others. I like this one, but the surfboard’s a little bit too shaded. I’m looking for something a little bit brighter. Okay, this one’s perfect. Let’s go with this. Next, let’s add our tagline to the image. We can use Adobe Express’s Text tool to add our tagline. We can, of course, move it around the canvas and adjust its layout. And Adobe Express recommends some text options that will look good in this composition. I think this one looks pretty good. We can also use Adobe Express’s Text effects to generate unique, interesting text effects. Since this is surf themed, let’s add a text effect that looks like dripping water. We can set the style of the effect. Let’s pick Embellished. And we can now generate text effect options. So it’s a pretty cool text effect, but the skinny letters aren’t really doing it justice. Let’s go back and customize our text and see if we can find a better font that really showcases the effect. So this one’s a little bit better. Let’s go back and add a text effect. But not quite right. There we go. That’s much better. We can go back and make sure that the selected text effect is the best one for the new font. We can try a few more. There, this one looks nice. When we’re finished, we can save the completed product back to AEM assets so our team can use it in their marketing campaigns. Let’s put it in our surf camp in Costa Rica folder in AEM assets so it’s easy for our marketing team to find. Let’s examine one last use of Adobe Express and AEM assets. In this scenario, we’ll use Adobe Express to employ generative AI to augment an existing image from AEM assets using generative fill. For this, we’ll create a new image for our mountain biking adventure campaign. Open assets in the left rail and find the asset to augment. Let’s pick this image of a paved path through a forest. We can resize it to fit our Adobe Express canvas. Now, with the image selected, we can use Adobe Express’s generative fill to add a mountain bike on the path. Let’s describe what we want to be added to the image via the text prompt. And then we paint the area on the image where the bike should be added. And look at that, Adobe Express’s generative fill has added a mountain bike to the image. And just like before, we can try out various options to see which one we like best. These aren’t bad, but I want something that looks pretty tough. There we go, that one’s great. When finished, we can save the file back to AEM assets by clicking share and then AEM assets, just like before. Before we finish up, let’s head over to AEM assets and check if the assets we created in Adobe Express are indeed available in AEM assets. So I’ve logged into the AEM assets repository that was selected in Adobe Express and I’ll do a quick search for the latest images in our AEM assets repository. And there we go, we have our three images that we created in Adobe Express and had saved to AEM assets. Now our marketing team can use these assets in their marketing campaigns. As we wrap up, I hope this video has shed light on how Adobe Express and AEM assets can empower you to democratize content creation and build a robust content supply chain. By using these powerful tools, you can harness the potential of digital assets and creative technologies to streamline your content production and management processes.
