Transcript
In this video, we’ll show you how to search for and download assets in Adobe Experience Manager Assets Content Hub. Content Hub provides you with an intuitive user interface where you can easily find, share, download, and perform additional actions on assets that have been approved in AEM assets and uploaded to the Content Hub portal. To view and search for these assets, go to the Content Hub interface and navigate to the All Assets tab. As you can see, we have a lot of assets here and scrolling through them to find the right ones can be quite time consuming, so we’ll use the various Content Hub searching capabilities to quickly narrow down our results. Navigate to the search bar at the top of the page. Content Hub uses your browser’s cache memory to save your search history. So when you click into the search box without typing, it shows you the list of your previous searches. To remove any keyword from this list, simply click the delete icon here. If you clear your cache or use a different browser, you won’t see your search history. For our example, let’s say we want to find an asset for one of the weekend summer hiking adventures. Let’s use summer as the keyword for our search. Notice that as you start typing, Content Hub gives you autocomplete suggestions and updates the results to better suit your query. Content Hub uses various search techniques. It compares the search query to the text available in an asset’s title, description, and other properties, including smart tags. It also displays proximate results based on the matching context. For example, in our case, it shows us assets related to summer, which includes keywords such as outdoor, sunny, beach, and so on. Content Hub uses smart search algorithm to rank results accurately and as relevant as possible. The recently modified and more commonly used assets appear at the top of the results list. We can use the filters panel on the left to narrow down our search results even further. From here, we can filter the results based on campaigns, channels, region, keywords, and so on. Filters are based on asset metadata. An administrator can configure what filters to display in the filters list for your organization. Check out our video on how to configure the Content Hub user interface for more information. For our example, let’s narrow down our results to the images with the keyword mountains. We can select a few other options here within the keyword filter. Let’s say we also want to select outdoor and summer. When a few options are selected within the same filter, Content Hub displays the assets that match any of the options within the filter. But for this example, we also want to find images that were most recently modified. To do this, scroll down to the last modified filter and select the most recent start date. Notice that when you select multiple options across filters, Content Hub only displays the assets that match all options selected across filters, which helps significantly narrow down your search results. Now that we’ve found the assets we want, we can download them right from the search results list. To download an asset individually, click the download icon on the asset card. Alternatively, select the asset or multiple assets and click download in the action bar at the top. All assets are downloaded in their original rendition. You should now know how to search for and download assets in Content Hub. We hope this will help you and your teams easily find and use the brand approved assets that you need. Thanks for watching!
