Today we’re diving into the powerful notifications feature within AMAssets as a cloud services assets view.

Notifications and AMAssets make it easy to stay updated on the assets that matter the most to you. Whether it’s assets, folders, or collections, you can selectively track changes like additions, deletions, or updates, or even task assignments without constantly checking them manually. Let’s explore how this feature keeps you in the loop and enhances your workflow efficiency. First, let’s see how to watch assets, folders, and collections. By selecting watch for one or more assets, we can easily activate notifications for them. I’ll select these two assets to watch, and while I’m showing you watching assets, these same steps apply to watching folders and collections. And this means you can be notified whenever something is added, removed, or modified within them. While I’ve been talking, my colleague Sachin has gone ahead and changed the title metadata on one of the assets we’re watching. And look here, under the notifications icon, we have a new alert informing us about the change.

We can click into the notification and go directly to the item that has been changed. But that’s not all. We’ve also subscribed to receive these notifications via email, ensuring we stay informed no matter where we are. You might be wondering how to tailor these notifications to your needs. Let’s head over to the notification preferences. Here you can fine-tune what you’re notified about and choose how you receive these updates, either in-app or via email. It’s important to note that these preferences are managed under the assets product, so make sure you’re looking in the right place and not under Experience Manager to find these specific settings.
