Basic operations basic-operations
A shared asset library only stays useful if people can organize and manage files without confusion. AEM Assets gives you folders, drag-and-drop upload, and simple tools to copy, move, rename, or delete items, backed by a trash so mistakes are easy to undo. This page covers these core actions in both the Assets view and the Admin view.
Create, upload, and organize assets
Build a folder structure, upload assets by drag and drop, and rename, move, or copy items with the action bar. Deleted items go to the trash first, so you can restore them if needed.

Trash and recovery
AEM Assets moves a deleted file to the trash instead of removing it right away, so a mistake doesn’t cost you the file. This video shows how to find an asset in the trash and restore it to its original location.
