Publish publish

Assets in AEM Author are only visible to your internal team, not to the public or external systems. When you publish an asset, AEM copies it and its renditions to AEM Publish, where a direct URL makes it available to other applications and websites. You can publish assets individually or in bulk, and unpublish them the same way when you no longer need them.

NOTE
Your AEM Assets deployment needs a licensed AEM Publish service before you can publish assets.
Assets view

In the Assets view, you can publish assets to AEM Publish and Dynamic Media as you upload, browse, or search for content, and you can select entire folders to publish in bulk. The available Dynamic Media options depend on the publish mode your administrator configured for the folder: immediate, upon activation, or selective. Open an asset’s Information tab, or switch a folder to List view, to check its publish status and publication date.

Approved assets can also be delivered through Content Hub. Set an asset’s Status to Approved on its Basic tab, or approve several at once with Bulk Metadata Edit, then use the Approval Target field to choose whether the asset goes to Content Hub, Dynamic Media, or both.

Admin view

In the Admin view, select assets and use quick publish for immediate delivery, or manage publication to schedule it and review the full scope of what’s included. Unpublish assets the same way to remove them from AEM Publish.
