Issue/Symptoms

It is unclear whether sticky sessions are enabled on the Application Gateway. This uncertainty can lead to session loss or an inconsistent experience during load balancing, even though no specific error messages or stack traces appear.

Resolution resolution

Try these steps to solve the issue:

  1. Access the configuration interface for the Application Gateway used with Adobe Experience Manager.
  2. Locate the backend pool settings or HTTP settings section, depending on the gateway’s management interface.
  3. Check for the option labeled Cookie-based affinity or Sticky sessions.
  4. Confirm that this option is set to Enabled.
  5. If sticky sessions are not enabled, update the configuration to enable them, and save the changes.
  6. Restart or apply the configuration to the Application Gateway, if required.

After completing these steps, verify that session persistence works as expected.
