AEM Brand Portal: Understanding active and inactive status in user login reports
When you download the User Logins report in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Brand Portal, the Status column shows a value of Active or Inactive. These values are defined and determined by entitlement configuration in the Adobe Admin Console, not by recent login activity.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Brand Portal (all versions)
Issues/Symptoms
When you download the User Logins report from AEM Brand Portal, the Status column displays values such as Active or Inactive. You might be unsure what these statuses mean and how the report determines them.
Cause
The active or inactive status in the Brand Portal User Logins report is determined by the account’s entitlement configuration in the Adobe Admin Console, not by recent login activity.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to interpret the status values in the User Logins report:
-
Open the User Logins report downloaded from AEM Brand Portal.
-
Locate the Status column in the report.
-
Interpret the status values as follows:
- Active: The account has a valid AEM Brand Portal entitlement (assigned to a Brand Portal product profile or granted Brand Portal admin rights) in the Adobe Admin Console, and has logged in to Brand Portal at least once.
- Inactive: The account was previously known to Brand Portal but no longer has a Brand Portal product profile or admin entitlement in the Adobe Admin Console. These accounts cannot log in and do not appear on the Tools
>Users page, but earlier logins remain in the report for auditing purposes.
