Double border appears in Content Fragment RTE in AEM 6.5.2

A cosmetic issue in Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.2 causes a double border to appear around the rich text editor when editing content fragments. Install the latest available service pack to resolve it.

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5.2 LTS (all platforms)

Issue/Symptoms

  • You see a double border around the rich text editor (RTE) when you click inside it to edit a content fragment.
  • You can reproduce the issue on a standard AEM 6.5.2 LTS instance, including with sample content.
  • You do not see any error messages logged. The issue is purely cosmetic and affects only the authoring user interface.

Cause

This cosmetic issue occurs in AEM 6.5.2 LTS. Adobe resolved the issue in AEM 6.5.3 LTS and later versions.

Resolution resolution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Choose Tools > Operations > System Information in the AEM Web Console to confirm your current AEM version and service pack.
  2. Download and install the latest available service pack from the Adobe Experience Manager Service Packs page.
  3. Follow the official AEM service pack installation instructions.
  4. Log in to AEM author, edit a content fragment, and click inside the RTE to confirm that the double border no longer appears.
