AEM Cloud Manager pipeline performance test fails due to incorrect New Relic linkage
This article explains how to resolve Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Manager pipeline failures during the performance test step when the Cloud Manager program is not linked to the correct New Relic account.
Description description
Environment
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service
- Cloud Manager
- New Relic
Issue/Symptoms
- When running an AEM Cloud Manager pipeline in normal (non-emergency) mode, the pipeline fails during the performance test step.
- The failure typically occurs during the assets test step.
- Error messages may indicate that instances are not available in New Relic or reference an unknown Cloud Manager problem.
- In emergency mode, the pipeline skips performance and security tests and completes successfully.
Cause
The Cloud Manager program is not properly linked to the designated New Relic account. As a result, Cloud Manager attempts to locate environment instances in the wrong New Relic account, causing the performance test step to fail.
Resolution resolution
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
- Verify that all relevant AEM environment instances, such as author, publish, and dispatcher, are present in the designated New Relic account.
- In Cloud Manager, review the program settings and confirm that the program is linked to the correct New Relic account.
- If you cannot verify or update the New Relic account linkage, or if the program is linked to the wrong account, contact Adobe Support and request assistance with New Relic onboarding and linking the program to the correct account.
- After the correct linkage is established, rerun the pipeline in normal mode.
- Verify that the performance test step completes successfully and that the pipeline finishes without errors.
