AEM as a Cloud Service: Content Hub access after activation
This article explains how to provide access to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) Content Hub after activation in Cloud Manager. Activating Content Hub enables the service, but it does not automatically assign access to users. To resolve the issue, review product profile assignments, verify Content Hub visibility in the Adobe Admin Console, and ensure that assets are approved before access is granted.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
Issue/Symptoms
- Content Hub is activated in Cloud Manager, but access is unavailable.
- Content Hub does not appear in the Adobe Admin Console.
- Assigned users cannot access Content Hub after activation.
- Required product profiles are not assigned.
- Expected assets are unavailable in Content Hub because they are not approved.
Root cause
Content Hub activation enables the service but does not automatically assign product profiles, permissions, or approved assets required for access.
Resolution resolution
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
- Log in to Adobe Admin Console by using the organization associated with the AEM as a Cloud Service program.
- In Adobe Admin Console, navigate to the AEM as a Cloud Service section and locate the dedicated Content Hub instance. The instance name may end with delivery or, in older configurations, appear as contenthub.
- Assign the appropriate product profiles as required. Assign AEM Assets Limited Users for standard Content Hub access. Assign AEM Assets Limited Users and AEM Users on the Production Author instance for upload or remix capabilities. Assign AEM Assets Limited Users and AEM Administrators on the Production Author instance for Content Hub administration.
- Ensure that the assets intended for Content Hub are approved in AEM Assets. Only approved assets are available in Content Hub.
- Access Content Hub through Experience Cloud, the product switcher, the Quick Access section, or the Content Hub URL.
- If Content Hub or the required product profiles are not visible in Adobe Admin Console, contact Adobe Support and provide relevant details and screenshots from Adobe Admin Console and Cloud Manager.
- No additional code deployment is required after activation because access is managed through Admin Console profile assignments and asset approval.
- Verify the resolution by confirming that Content Hub is accessible and that the expected assets are available.
