AEM Assets: Synchronize metadata tags with Assets Essentials view
This article describes why metadata tags added in AEM Assets might not appear in the Assets Essentials view and provides steps to synchronize them by using the Import Metadata Form process.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets
Issue/Symptoms
When you use Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets, metadata tags added to assets in the main DAM do not automatically appear in the Assets Essentials view. This behavior occurs because AEM Assets does not synchronize metadata tags with Assets Essentials by default. To make these tags visible in both views, complete a manual import process.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Sign in to the AEM Assets Admin view.
- Navigate to Admin Tools and locate Import Metadata Form.
- Follow the prompts to select and import the required metadata fields from the Admin view to the Assets Essentials view.
- For detailed instructions, see the Adobe documentation: Import metadata form from Admin view to Assets view.
- After you complete the import process, verify that the metadata tags appear in the Assets Essentials view for your assets.
