Understand EOL dates shown across Adobe Commerce tools and documentation

You see inconsistent or unexplained EOL dates for services such as Redis, RabbitMQ, MariaDB, and OpenSearch across SWAT reports, deploy-log warnings, and the Adobe Commerce System Requirements page. The dates appear different because Adobe-owned surfaces show EOL warnings or dates without clearly stating the source of the date. To determine whether the warning refers to an upstream vendor EOL date or an Adobe Commerce support cutoff, compare the warning with the support status shown on the System Requirements page.

Description description

Environment

  • Adobe Commerce on Cloud Infrastructure
  • Redis, RabbitMQ, MariaDB, and OpenSearch service dependencies
  • SWAT reports, ece-tools deploy-log warnings, and System Requirements documentation
  • Versions: Version-specific depending on the service and Adobe Commerce patch level

Issue/Symptoms

  • You review a SWAT report that flags a service or version as nearing EOL.
  • You compare that warning with deploy-log output from ece-tools or with the System Requirements page.
  • You see different dates or unclear wording.
  • You can’t determine whether the warning is an upstream vendor EOL date or an Adobe Commerce support cutoff.

Cause

Multiple Adobe-owned surfaces show EOL warnings or dates without clearly stating the source of the date. For example, a SWAT report shows one Redis 7.2 date while deploy logs show another. You may also compare these against vendor-maintained support dates, which may differ from Adobe Commerce’s support cutoff by Commerce patch level.

Resolution resolution

Check the Adobe Commerce System Requirements page and verify whether your current Commerce version is listed as supported for the service version referenced in the warning.

  1. If your current Commerce version is still listed as supported, the warning refers to the vendor’s upstream EOL clock and not the Adobe Commerce support cutoff. No urgent action is required. Plan your upgrade before Adobe Commerce drops support.
  2. If the service version is listed as not supported for your Commerce version, Adobe Commerce support has already ended for that dependency. Upgrade the dependency now.

The EOL warning should include the date source and a link to the System Requirements page so you can determine which state applies to your environment without opening a support case.
