Transformed lookup dataset dimensions don’t appear in Workspace in Customer Journey Analytics
In Customer Journey Analytics, dimensions from a transformed lookup dataset may not appear in Workspace even though the matching key data exists in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Customer Journey Analytics. This behavior occurs because transformed lookup datasets function like profile datasets and use person IDs for matching. To fix this issue, validate the values by using the standard Person ID dimension in Workspace.
Description description
Environment
- Product: Customer Journey Analytics
- Instance: Applies to connections using a transformed lookup dataset.
Issue/Symptoms
- Dimensions from a transformed lookup dataset do not appear in Customer Journey Analytics Workspace.
- Data for the matching key exists in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
- Data for the matching key exists in Customer Journey Analytics.
Resolution resolution
Transformed lookup datasets function like profile datasets and use only the person ID for matching. Although you are prompted to select a matching key, the backend treats them like profile datasets and matches the key to person IDs from your event datasets. You can use the standard Person ID dimension in Workspace to verify which values are seen in reporting and validate common keys in the lookup dataset.
