Configure Dynamic Media credentials in Adobe Experience Manager Assets

When integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets with Dynamic Media, it is necessary to configure the correct credentials and company name for each environment, such as production or staging. Missing or incorrect credentials or company name can prevent the generation of Dynamic Media links for assets, impacting asset delivery for campaigns and other business needs.

Issue/Symptoms

  • Unable to generate Dynamic Media links for assets in a specific environment.
  • The expected Dynamic Media company name does not appear in the configuration options.
  • No specific error messages, but the integration cannot be completed.

Cause

This issue occurs when the required Dynamic Media credentials or company configuration for the environment have not been set up or are missing.

Resolution resolution

To resolve the issue where credentials or company name are missing, follow these steps:

  1. Confirm that you have the correct Dynamic Media credentials (username and password) for the environment you are configuring.

  2. In your AEM instance, go to Tools > Cloud Services > Dynamic Media Configuration.

  3. Create a new configuration or edit an existing one for the relevant environment.

  4. Select the appropriate server region (for example, North America production server).

  5. Enter the provided username (usually your email address) and password.

  6. In the company name field, select the correct company for your environment. If the expected company name does not appear, proceed to the troubleshooting steps below.

  7. If you do not have the required credentials or the correct company name is not available in the configuration options:

    • Gather the following information: your contact details, the impacted environment, and a description of the business impact (such as inability to generate Dynamic Media links).
    • Submit a support request to Adobe, providing the information above and requesting provisioning of Dynamic Media credentials and company configuration for the required environment.

  8. Once you receive the credentials and company configuration, repeat steps 2-6 to complete the setup.

  9. Upload a test asset and verify that Dynamic Media links are generated and assets are accessible via Dynamic Media URLs.
