Symptoms

  • The CRX/DE interface isn’t accessible in newly created AEM as a Cloud Service sandbox environments.
  • Navigating to the typical CRX/DE URL (such as https://author-<instance>.adobeaemcloud.com/crx/de) results in an unavailable or inaccessible page.
  • This behavior is consistent for all users in the environment. No specific error message is displayed; the interface is simply not present or accessible.

Cause

CRX/DE is intentionally disabled in AEM as a Cloud Service environments, including sandboxes, for security and architectural reasons. Supported alternatives are provided for content management tasks.

Resolution resolution

Follow the steps below to manage JCR content in AEM as a Cloud Service sandbox environments:
