Unable to add documents to Workfront due to connector configuration
This article explains how to resolve an issue where users are unable to add documents from Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to Adobe Workfront because the Native Connector is configured with the wrong AEM environment.
Description description
Environment
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service
- AEM Desktop App Version: 3.0.2
- Adobe Workfront (Production)
Symptoms
- Users are unable to add new documents from AEM into Workfront.
- The issue affects multiple users, including those with administrative privileges.
- Attempts to add documents result in an error within the Workfront UI.
- The issue persists across different user accounts and is reproducible by both end users and administrators.
Cause
The Native Connector configuration in Workfront was set to an incorrect AEM environment, preventing Workfront from retrieving assets from the intended AEM environment.
Resolution resolution
To fix the issue where documents cannot be added from AEM to Workfront, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Workfront UI as an administrator.
- Navigate to the Native Connector Configuration section.
- Review the current configuration and verify the target AEM environment URL.
- If the configuration points to an incorrect AEM environment, update it to reference the correct production AEM environment.
- Save and enable the updated configuration.
- Test by attempting to add a new document from AEM into Workfront to confirm that assets are now loading as expected.
