OAuth IMS configuration save error for Adobe Target integration in AEM due to incorrect bundle version

Issue/Symptoms
When configuring OAuth IMS for Adobe Target integration in AEM, an error message such as Cannot create/update configuration: Invalid arguments (empty or null)! appears during the save operation. This prevents saving the OAuth configuration in the AEM Cloud Services UI and is often observed in development environments.
Cause
The issue is caused by an incorrect version of the adobeims.core bundle being present after installing the OAuth hotfix. The required version is 1.1.26. Using a different version can result in invalid argument errors during configuration save operations.
Resolution resolution
To fix the issue, follow these steps:
- Log in to the AEM Web Console at
/system/console/bundles. - Search for the
adobeims.corebundle and check the installed version. - If the version is not 1.1.26, obtain the correct
adobeims.corebundle JAR file. If you do not have the required JAR file, contact Adobe Support to request the correct version. - Once you have the correct JAR, upload and install it using the AEM Web Console or Package Manager.
- After installation, ensure the
adobeims.corebundle is active and at version 1.1.26. Restart the bundle if it does not activate automatically. - Attempt to save the OAuth IMS configuration again and confirm it saves without errors.
- Test this change thoroughly in a lower environment before applying it to higher environments.
