Resolve default branding on the AEM Assets search landing page by updating homepage settings

The search landing page can continue to show the default logo or background even after brand assets are available in the repository. This happens because the page uses its own homepage configuration and does not automatically inherit branding from other areas. Update the search landing page settings directly, replace the background and logo images, and preview the result to confirm the change. If the controls are unavailable or the page still shows the default branding after saving, contact support.

Description description

Environment:

  • Assets view in a cloud-based asset management environment
  • Search landing page configured as an available homepage experience
  • Administrative access to general settings

Issue/Symptoms:

  • The search landing page still shows the default logo.
  • The search landing page still shows the default background image.
  • Brand assets uploaded elsewhere do not appear on the search landing page.
  • The background or logo has not been updated in the homepage settings.

Cause:

The search landing page uses a separate homepage configuration. Default branding remains in place until the background image and logo are replaced in the search homepage settings and the changes are saved.

Resolution resolution

Try the following steps to solve the issue:

  1. Open the asset view and go to General Settings.
  2. In the homepage configuration, select Search first. Confirm that the search landing page options are displayed.
  3. In the background image area, click Replace and select an existing asset from the repository. Confirm that the selected image appears in the configuration preview before saving.
  4. In the logo area, click Replace and select the logo asset you want to use. Confirm that the logo preview updates correctly and that the selected image matches your branding requirements.
  5. If needed, use a supported image format such as JPG, PNG, or WEBP for the background or logo image.
  6. Click Save to store the updated configuration.
  7. Use the preview option, if available, to review the search landing page layout and confirm that the updated background and logo are displayed.
  8. Open the search landing page again in a new browser tab and confirm that the previous default branding no longer appears.
  9. If you also want users to land on this page after sign-in, update the default homepage setting in General Settings so the intended landing page is selected.
  10. If the default branding still appears after you save and preview the page, first confirm that the selected assets are available in the repository and readable in your environment. If the issue continues, or if the Replace controls do not appear, submit a ticket to Adobe Support and include a screenshot of the settings page, a screenshot of the search landing page result, and the names of the assets selected for the background and logo.
