CDN domain details for delivery domains in AEM Dynamic Media

This article provides reference information about the CDN domains used for Dynamic Media delivery in Adobe Experience Manager for specific delivery domains. It also explains the delivery behavior used for regional and China-enabled delivery paths.

Issue/Symptoms

  • The user requests details about the CDN domains and the physical locations of the central servers used for Dynamic Media delivery for their delivery domains.
  • The request is for infrastructure information to understand content delivery paths and server locations.

Resolution resolution

To review the delivery domain details, follow these steps:

  1. Review the CDN domain configuration for the delivery domains.

    • The delivery domains are configured as a CNAME to the Akamai CDN edge host.
    • Content is delivered through Akamai CDN with globally distributed edge hosts.

  2. Review the regional delivery behavior.

    • Dynamic Media uses regional delivery infrastructure to optimize content delivery performance.

  3. Review the China delivery behavior.

    • For China-enabled delivery domains, Dynamic Media uses a China delivery path for in-country content delivery.

  4. Verify the delivery paths.

    • Confirm the domain CNAME and CDN configuration in your DNS records.
    • Use traceroute or CDN provider tools to inspect delivery paths if needed.
