Description description
Environment
Adobe Experience Manager Dynamic Media
Issue/Symptoms
- When you access Dynamic Media image URLs, the following error is displayed:
Error: Catalog '<catalog_name>' is not allowed for domain '<custom_domain>'
- The issue occurs after you set up a new Dynamic Media account and attempt to use a custom domain for asset delivery.
- The error is reproducible when you access a URL in the following format:
https://<custom_domain>/is/image/<catalog_name>/<asset_id>
- Other Dynamic Media catalogs in the same account are also affected if they are not configured for the custom domain.
Resolution resolution
To address the issue, follow these steps:
- Verify that the Dynamic Media configuration includes the custom domain as an allowed domain for the relevant catalogs.
- In the Dynamic Media administration console, ensure that the affected catalog is mapped to the custom domain.
- If the mapping is missing, add the custom domain to the list of allowed domains for the catalog.
- After you update the configuration, update Publish Server URL in the Dynamic Media settings to use the custom domain.
- Test access to the Dynamic Media URLs to confirm that the error is resolved.
- If the changes do not take effect immediately, allow time for configuration propagation or clear the relevant caches.
Cause
