AEMaaCS environments provisioned in incorrect region

Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) environments are provisioned in different geographic regions, where DEV exists in one region and Stage and Production exist in another. This mismatch prevents proper alignment and restricts the deletion of certain environments from Cloud Manager. To resolve the issue, delete and recreate environments in the correct region.

Description description

Environment

Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)

Issue/Symptoms

  • A region mismatch between the DEV, Stage, and Production environments.
  • The DEV environment in the Netherlands; the Stage and Production environments in the United States.
  • An inability to delete the Stage and Production environments through the Cloud Manager UI.
  • A requirement for reprovisioning of the environments in the correct region (the Netherlands).
  • An incorrect region display in the environment details, compared to the intended configuration.
  • No specific error messages, despite the incorrect region configuration.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a DEV environment in Cloud Manager and verify the region shows as the Netherlands.
  2. Create Stage and Production environments and observe the region shows as United States instead of Netherlands.
  3. Attempt to delete Stage and Production environments from Cloud Manager and notice that deletion fails through the UI.

Root cause

A misconfiguration during environment setup provisions the Stage and Production environments in the wrong geographic region.

Resolution resolution

Follow the steps below to address the issue:

  1. Sign in to Cloud Manager and navigate to each environment’s details page to confirm the region configured for DEV, Stage, and Production environments.
  2. Contact Adobe Support and request deletion of the Stage and Production environments that are provisioned in the incorrect region, since Cloud Manager UI doesn’t allow deletion in this scenario.
  3. Wait for confirmation from Adobe Support that the incorrectly provisioned environments have been deleted successfully.
  4. Recreate Stage and Production environments in Cloud Manager and ensure the selected region matches the DEV environment region, such as the Netherlands.
  5. Verify the newly created environments by reviewing their details pages and confirm all environments align to the same geographic region.
  6. Inform Adobe Support if alignment is complete or report any additional issues observed during reprovisioning.
