Push certificate upload fails for mobile app

In Adobe Campaign Standard, uploading a .p8 push certificate can fail when you create a production mobile application. This issue occurs if your account does not have Data Collection Administrative Access in the Admin Console. Grant the required access and retry the upload.

Issue/Symptoms

Uploading a .p8 certificate for a mobile app fails with errors such as:

  • Error while creating the production application.
  • HTTP header ‘WWW-Authenticate’ used for proxy authentication not found.
  • INT-150014 Failed to send an HTTP request to server ‘mc-api-activation-reactor.adobe.io’.
  • XTK-170068 Error while creating mobile app: ‘’
  • Error while executing the method ‘ChangeMobileApp’ of service ‘nms:mobileApp’.

Resolution resolution

To fix the push certificate upload failure, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Adobe Admin Console.
  2. Grant Data Collection Administrative Access to the account that uploads the push certificate.
  3. Log out of Experience Cloud.
  4. Log back into Experience Cloud after the access update completes.
  5. Upload the .p8 push certificate again.
  6. Verify that the certificate uploads successfully without errors.

Note:

The ACS Certificate Update API uses your user token to access Data Collection services. If the required permission is not assigned, the certificate upload can fail.
