Pipeline validation fails due to expired AEM release in Cloud Manager

Pipeline validation fails in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service when the pipeline is configured with an expired AEM release. For details on supported releases, see the current Cloud Manager release notes.

Cloud Manager blocks validation because the selected release is no longer supported. Updating the pipeline to use a new build resolves the issue. To fix this, delete the affected pipeline, recreate it using the same repository and branch, and run the pipeline again.

Description description

Environment

  • Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service – Sites
  • Cloud Manager
  • Development environment

Issue/Symptoms

  • The pipeline fails during the validation step.
  • An error message indicates that the AEM release associated with the pipeline has expired and is no longer supported.

Resolution resolution

Try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Delete the pipeline that fails validation in Cloud Manager, as the AEM release version cannot be updated on an existing pipeline. Check Delete a pipeline for more details.
  2. Recreate the pipeline using the same Git repository and branch, and select a currently supported AEM release during pipeline setup.
  3. Run the newly created pipeline.
  4. Confirm that the Validate step completes successfully and that the pipeline finishes without errors.
