Campaign Classic: Exporting workflows causes the instance to crash

This article explains why exporting a custom campaign workflow in a package can crash the instance.

Description description

While trying to export distinct workflows the instance was crashing each time. The web process crashed due to memory overconsumption. The activity on the instance was low during the time of export so the underlying resources were not overused.

Resolution resolution

The workflows that were being exported were long running Campaign targeting workflows that triggered hundreds of deliveries in the past, prior to the export. The volume of these deliveries, linked to the workflows was causing the memory overconsumption during the export process. The customer was asked to review and delete obsolete old deliveries linked to the workflows before the export. Additionally the R&D team advised to increase the RAM memory allocated to the instance.
