Marketing actions list not visible in Adobe Experience Platform
In Adobe Experience Platform, the marketing actions list doesn’t appear, and the page shows up blank when configuring an Ad destination. This problem happens because the affected user doesn’t have the right Data Governance permissions. To fix this issue, grant the necessary permissions to restore access.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Experience Platform
Issue/Symptoms
The marketing actions list does not load and appears blank when attempting to configure a destination; this behavior occurs for specific users who lack certain permissions.
Resolution resolution
To fix this issue, follow these steps:
-
Log in to Adobe Experience Platform with an administrator account.
-
Navigate to Permissions from the left sidebar.
-
Select Users, search for and select the affected user.
-
Go to the Roles tab and review assigned roles.
-
If the user’s role (for example, Activation Admin) doesn’t include Data Governance permissions, edit roles as follows:
- Go to Permissions, then Roles.
- Select the relevant role (such as Activation Admin).
- Click Edit in the upper-right corner.
- Add Data Governance permissions as required. In this case, View Data Usage Policies is needed.
-
Alternatively, create a new role with only Data Governance permissions and assign it to the affected user if preferred.
-
Wait about 10 minutes for permission changes to take effect.
-
Ask the user to log out, then log back in, and test configuring a destination again. The marketing actions list should now load.
Note: Permission updates require several minutes before taking effect across all services. Only users with sufficient administrative rights can modify roles or assign new permissions within Adobe Experience Platform.
