Adobe Experience Manager: Cannot save launch content with “Fail to submit the form” in AEM as a Cloud Service
Description description
In AEM as a Cloud Service, the error message “Fail to submit the form” can appear when you try to save content that has been added to a Launch, and the change is not saved successfully. This article explains a common cause of this error and how to resolve it.
Environment
AEM as a Cloud Service
Resolution resolution
This error occurs when the language root of the content that you are trying to add to the Launch is different from the language root of the content that already exists in the Launch. All content included in a Launch must share the same language root.
When the “Fail to submit the form” message appears, check the content paths for both the Launch source and the content to be added. If their language roots are different, create a new Launch for the new content.
In some cases, an unintended language root may have been created. To avoid this, do not use two‑letter codes (such as en, es, fr, etc.) as page names unless the purpose is explicitly to create a language root.
Launch source: /content/site/en/page-1
Content that can be added: /content/site/en/page-2
Content that cannot be added: /content/site/es/page-3
