Dynamic Media layout container disappears in edit mode after refresh in AEMaaCS
When working with Dynamic Media core components for video authoring in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), the layout container disappears from the page in edit mode after a refresh. This prevents the video from rendering and makes it impossible to replace or interact with the component. To resolve the issue, sync and activate required presets, CSS, and artwork.

Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
-
Open the Sample Manager on the AEM Author at
https://<your-author-host>/libs/dam/gui/content/s7dam/samplemanager/samplemanager.html. -
Re-sync Dynamic Media sample assets (presets, CSS, artwork) by running the available actions in Sample Manager.
-
Select Trigger DM Setup Async Job on the Sample Manager page to run the Dynamic Media Setup Async Job and re-sync viewer artwork and CSS to Scene7.
-
Trigger the Dynamic Media Setup Async Job from Sample Manager and confirm the job completes successfully.
-
Verify your Dynamic Media Cloud Service configuration:
- Check that the Secure Preview Server and company details are correct.
- Confirm that your AEM Author instance’s public IP address is whitelisted in Scene7.
-
Refresh the page in edit mode and confirm that the video appears correctly.
Note: If the required viewer presets or sample assets aren’t fully synced or published to Dynamic Media (Scene7), authoring issues such as disappearing containers may occur due to missing configuration files.
