Brand Portal share link shows no assets after collection updates in AEM
In AEM Brand Portal, shared collection links display “No Content to Display” after assets are added or updated because they capture a static snapshot when created. To fix this issue, create and share a new link after updating the collection.
Description description
Environment
- Product: Adobe Experience Manager
- Constraints: Applies to all standard Brand Portal environments
Issue/Symptoms
- A shared Brand Portal link opens but shows “No Content to Display.”
- Assets added, removed, or updated in the collection after the link creation.
- Published links do not show changes made to the collection after sharing.
Resolution resolution
To fix this issue, follow these steps:
-
Open the collection in AEM Brand Portal.
-
Check if any assets were added, removed, unpublished, or had permission changes after the original share link was created.
-
If you need users to access newly added or updated assets via a share link:
- Create a new share link for the current state of the collection.
- Send this new link to your intended audience.
-
Verify that users using the new share link can see all intended assets.
Notes
- It is not recommended to share a collection using a link and then add assets to that collection, expecting the share link to provide access to the newly added assets.
- The best practice is to add all assets to the collection first, then generate and distribute the share link.
- If you need to add assets later, generate and distribute a new share link every time the collection is updated.
