External account cleanup removes list tables in Adobe Campaign Classic
Database tables for the Recipient and Non-Recipient Lists are deleted daily in Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC) environments. The issue occurs because an external account from another instance runs a cleanup process that removes these tables. To resolve the issue, disable the external account cleanup process in the connected instance.
Description description
Environment
- Product: Adobe Campaign Classic v7
- Console Build: 9359
- Server Build: 9359
- Deployment: On-premise
- Instance: Production
Issue/Symptoms
- The list database tables, including those for Recipient and Non-Recipient Lists, are deleted daily.
- These lists have no expiration dates and are not manually deleted through the console.
- The lists are created via workflows and remain active until deletion occurs.
- The built-in cleanup workflow doesn’t log any deletion activity for these tables.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Identify if an external account in another instance connects to the affected production database.
- Check if this external account runs a cleanup process that deletes list tables.
- Disable the external account or its cleanup process in the interacting instance.
- Test in a staging environment to confirm that disabling the external account prevents further deletion.
- Apply the same change to the production environment.
- Monitor overnight to ensure the list tables remain intact.
- Verify that campaign operators can access lists without disruption.
