Adobe Analytics Page Dimension Shows String Longer Than 100 Bytes

The Page dimension in Adobe Analytics Workspace displays either the pagename or the page_url. When pagename is available, it’s limited to 100 bytes. If pagename isn’t set, Workspace uses page_url, which can display up to 255 bytes. This behavior aligns with product design and isn’t caused by a recent change.

Issue/Symptoms

The Page dimension in the UI (and via API requests) will display pagename if it is set and available; otherwise, it shows the page_url.
If pagename is the source for the Page dimension, it is limited to 100 bytes.
If page_url is used as the source (when there is no pagename), the displayed value can be up to 255 bytes.

Resolution resolution

This is working as designed and not due to a recent product change.
