Generate Variations button missing in AEMaaCS
The Generate Variations button is missing in the Content Fragment Editor in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS). To resolve the issue, enable the feature via Extension Manager.

Issue/Symptoms
- The Generate Variations button does not appear in the Content Fragment Editor.
- Attempts to enable the feature through Extension Manager do not reflect in the editor.
- Content fragments lack the required structure, such as text and title fields.
- Assistance is needed to activate the feature consistently across all AEMaaCS instances.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Open Extension Manager in AEMaaCS and enable the Generate Variations feature for Content Fragment Editor.
- Ensure each content fragment includes both text and title fields. The button only appears when the fragment’s model and data support variation generation.
- If the button still does not appear, contact Adobe Support to request backend activation.
- After activation, revisit the Content Fragment Editor and confirm the button is now visible.
- Test the feature by generating variations using a compatible content fragment.
Additional notes:
- The Generate Variations feature is available only in Content Fragment Editor and Universal Editor. It is not supported in the Sites Page Editor.
- If issues continue after backend activation, contact Adobe Support for further debugging.
