Access denied when using “aio app use” command in AEM via Adobe I/O

Issue/Symptoms

  • An error occurs when attempting to use the aio app use command.
  • The error message indicates a 403 - Forbidden response.
  • Error details: Error: [ CoreConsoleAPISDK:ERROR_GET_SERVICES_FOR_ORG] 403 - Forbidden ({“id”:"< unique-id> ",“messages”:[ {“template”:“ERR_MSG_OPERATION_NOT_ALLOWED”,“message”:"User < user-id> @AdobeID is not allowed to access resources of org < org-id> "}] })
  • This issue prevents access to certain resources within the organization.

Resolution resolution

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Run aio logout --force in the CLI to force a logout from your current session.
  2. Clear your browser cache to remove any stored data or credentials.
  3. Run aio login --force in the CLI to log in again with a fresh session.
  4. Retry theaio app use command to verify access to the application.

If the issue continues, check whether others with access to the application face similar problems.
