Validating cluster resizing in Adobe Commerce via New Relic

In Adobe Commerce on Managed Services, validating whether a cluster has been resized requires checking infrastructure metrics in New Relic. After resizing, New Relic’s Infra tab displays the vCPU tier view over time, which confirms the change. The timeline must be set to greater than two weeks to reflect the updated tier size.

Environment

Adobe Commerce on Managed Services

Issue/Symptoms

  • You need to validate whether a cluster resize has occurred.
  • The New Relic dashboard doesn’t immediately reflect infrastructure changes after a resize.

Resolution resolution

To verify the cluster resize, follow these steps:

  1. Wait 24 hours after the cluster resize. Then, open New Relic Observations. Refer to Accessing the Observation for Adobe Commerce nerdlet and Observation for Adobe Commerce for access and further information regarding New Relic observations.

  2. In the top-right corner, select a date range within the last two weeks.

  3. Select the Infra tab.

  4. Choose the Environment.

  5. Scroll down to vCPU tier view over timeline GREATER 2 weeks (You will need to select a timeline GREATER than 2 weeks). NOTE: The sample rate will be per day. If cluster upsizes/downsizes occur on a day, the ending tier size will be displayed on the following day.

The output confirms the cluster resize. Hover over the timeline to view detailed information.
