Fix data preload failure in Adobe Campaign web apps

When you test a web application in Adobe Campaign, you see a data preload error caused by missing folder access permissions. This error blocks recipient data from loading during preview and live testing. To fix this, grant the right folder access to the Web applications agent operator.

Description description

Environment

Product:  Adobe Campaign v8

Issue/Symptoms

  • When testing a web application, the following error appears during data preloading:
Failed to preload data: WDB-200001 SQL statement 'SELECT R0.iRecipientId FROM NmsRecipient R0 WHERE ((R0.iFolderId IN (SELECT xr.iFolderId FROM XtkRights xr WHERE xr.iOperatorId IN (XXXX)) OR R0.iFolderId=0)) AND (((R0.iFolderId IN (SELECT xr.iFolderId FROM XtkRights xr WHERE xr.iOperatorId IN (XXXX)) OR R0.iFolderId=0)) AND ((R0.iRecipientId = :#(1)#))' could not be executed. WDB-200011 The requested database record does not exist. Cannot load document of type 'Recipients (nms:recipient)' satisfying condition '([ /@id] = 'XXXX')'. SOP-330011 Error while executing the method 'ExecuteQuery' of service 'xtk:queryDef'.
  • The error occurs in both the preview tab and when testing the published web application in a browser.
  • The root cause is missing folder access permissions for the Web applications agent  operator.

Resolution resolution

To resolve the data preload error, update folder access permissions for the Web applications agent operator.

  1. Identify the folders that contain the recipient records used by the web application.
  2. Grant access permissions for these folders to the Web applications agent operator.
  3. Test the web application again using recipients from the updated folders.

Once folder access is correctly configured, the error will no longer occur during data preloading in both preview and live environments.
