Clear dispatcher cache at scheduled time in AEMaaCS

In Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), flushing the dispatcher cache at a specific time is required to support scheduled content publication. To clear the cache, deploy a configuration change through Cloud Manager using an environment variable.

  • Instance: Production

Issue/Symptoms

  • Dispatcher cache must flush at a specific time (For example, 04:00 PM Paris time).
  • Scheduled publication of destination pages requires a cache refresh.
  • Manual intervention is not feasible during live deployments.

Resolution resolution

To clear the cache, follow these steps:

  1. Define an environment variable in the Cloud Manager configuration to trigger a pod restart.
  2. Schedule and deploy the configuration change through Cloud Manager at the required time.
  3. The deployment restarts the Kubernetes pods, which automatically clears the Dispatcher cache.
