Can’t see the images extracted out of .ai file uploaded into DMC

When uploading an .ai file into Dynamic Media Classic (DMC), the system extracts images based on the configured upload settings. However, these extracted images don’t appear in the DMC UI unless a specific visibility setting is enabled. To resolve the issue, enable Show Generated Content in Application Setup.

Issue/Symptoms

Whenever you upload an .ai file either through AEM or into DMC directly and configure the upload settings to extract an image out of that .ai file, you can’t see that image in the DMC UI.

Resolution resolution

The DMC UI includes a setting that controls the visibility of generated content, such as images extracted from .ai files.

Follow these steps to make extracted images visible in DMC:

  1. Open the Menu in Dynamic Media Classic.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Application Setup.
  3. Select the Browse tab.
  4. Locate and enable the Show Generated Content checkbox.
