Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud: SMS deliveries are not sent due to invalid source address

SMS deliveries in Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud can fail due to an invalid source address. To resolve this issue, coordinate with the SMS provider, monitor message logs, and validate or configure the source address.

Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud, v8

Issue/Symptoms

SMS deliveries fail with SMPP command submit_sm failed. Invalid Source Address (A)  error.

  • No changes were made to the SMS accounts or external account settings within Adobe Campaign.
  • The issue originated from the SMS provider’s side, as confirmed by their team.

Resolution

  1. Verify with your SMS provider if any changes on their end could affect message delivery.
  2. Check logs for recurring errors and ensure no recent changes have been made to external account configurations within Adobe Campaign.
  3. Work with your SMS provider to address any issues related to source address validation or configuration. Once resolved, monitor message delivery logs to ensure messages are sent successfully without no further Invalid Source Address  errors.
