Resolve target mapping selection error in Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud
If you encounter a target mapping selection error in Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud, it may prevent you from changing or selecting target mappings. Identify problematic target mappings, verify data schemas, and recreating valid target mappings.
Description
Environment
- Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud
- Version: v8
Issue/Symptoms
In the Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud, an issue may arise where the target mapping selection box does not open for deliveries. This problem can prevent you from changing or selecting target mappings, which is essential for sending campaigns. The below error is thrown when the target mapping selection box is opened:
- XFR-180000 The file ‘/usr/local/neolane/nl6/datakit/cus/eng/schema/customSchema.xml’ does not exist on the server. Unable to load the document of identifier ‘cus:customSchema’ and type ‘xtk:schema’. (iRc=16384)
- XTK-170006 Unable to parse expression ‘GetLinkSchema(`[
/@schema
], \
[/@recipientLink
]` )’.
Key symptoms include:
- Inability to select or change target mappings.
- No errors related to Out-of-the-box (OOTB) target mappings; however, they cannot be selected either.
- Already configured campaigns continue running as expected.
Resolution
To resolve this issue:
- Identify recently created target mappings that might be causing the error. Specifically, look for target mappings defined using the
customSchema
mentioned in the error message. - Check if these new target mappings reference data schemas that exist within your system. Ensure that all referenced schemas are valid and present.
- If a non-existent schema was used during the creation of a target mapping, delete the problematic target mapping completely.
- Recreate the necessary target mapping. Ensure that all referenced schemas are valid and exist in your environment before finalizing the new target mapping.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore functionality and select or change your desired target mappings for campaign deliveries.
