Recommended method to remove Analytics report suite dataset from AEP

This article explains how to remove an Analytics report suite dataset from Adobe Experience Platform. The resolution involves removing dataflows from the UI, thereby automatically deleting the associated datasets.

Environment

  • Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
  • Real-Time Customer Data Platform

Issue

As per the Create an Adobe Analytics source connection in the UI documentation, when you create an Analytics source dataflow in a production sandbox, two dataflows are created:

  • One is for the current data.
  • One is for the 13-month backfill of historical report suite data into data lake.

A target dataset is also created, which you may have to delete. This article explains how.

Resolution resolution

Simply removing the dataflows in question automatically removes the dataset. Here are the steps to remove an Analytics report suite dataset from AEP:

  • Locate the source dataflow page in the UI.
  • Use the three dots for that dataflow to hit the Delete option.
  • Now verify that the associated dataset has been removed.
