The Switch Accounts dropdown is missing from your account
This article provides a solution to the Adobe Commerce issue where the Switch Accounts dropdown is missing from your account, and you have lost access to submit tickets on behalf of the merchant.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Commerce
Issue/Symptoms
You previously have been given Shared Access by a merchant which allowed you to submit and view tickets on their behalf.
However, due to organizational changes to your company or account, the previous account owner’s MAGE ID was assigned to the new account owner by the Accounts team.
- The Switch Account dropdown in the magento.com account is no longer available.
AND/OR
- The organization that you wish to submit a ticket for can no longer be found on the Support page on Experience League.
Resolution resolution
Reach out to the individual merchant’s Account Owner and ask them to provide Shared Access to the new MAGE ID so that you may continue submitting tickets on their behalf.
Cause
The process of updating the MAGE ID on your account to one that originally belonged to another user involves deleting your previous MAGE ID. As a result, any Shared Access privileges that had originally been given to that MAGE ID will have been revoked.
Therefore, if you no longer see a Switch Accounts dropdown on your magento.com account or an organization is missing from the Support page on Experience League, it means that the original user associated with your new MAGE ID wasn’t previously granted Shared Access to that organization.
