Internal Server error when configuring Insights Configurations

If you encounter an internal server error while configuring Insights in Adobe Experience Manager 6.5, first attempt the configuration in a local instance. Afterward, create a package of the configured path and install this package in the higher environment. Follow the steps mentioned in this article.

Issue/Symptoms

Getting an internal server error when trying to configure Insights Configurations.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Tools > Assets > Insights Configuration.
  2. Enter Insights Configuration details for Analytics.
  3. Click Authenticate.
  4. Error pop-up with the message Internal server error appears.

Resolution resolution

  1. Configure assets Insights Configurations in the local instance.
  2. Create a package of the path /etc/cloudservices/sitecatalyst/assetinsights/.
  3. Install the package in a higher instance.

Note: This is applicable only for AMS or on-prem instances.
