Static images hosted by Adobe are not served with cache control header directives

This article addresses issues with static images hosted by Adobe in Adobe Campaign Classic v7. Without cache control header directives, these images are served each time recipients read the email from the ACC server, which is inefficient.

Description description

Environments

  • Adobe Campaign (AC)
  • Adobe Campaign Classic v7 (ACC v7)

Issue/Symptoms

Static images hosted by Adobe are not served with cache control header directives. Consequently, the image is served each time different recipients read the email from ACC server, which is not optimal. A cache control directive could get the image from the cache of a reverse/proxy server.

Resolution resolution

This issue can be addressed by updates to the infrastructure; for example, there is an option to cache a folder on AWS side. If you are an on-premise customer, you can research additional options.
