BrandPortal Editors and Viewers cannot see any images

Description description

After having setup BrandPortal Viewers and Editors with access to BrandPortal, they can login, but cannot see any of the content published to BrandPortal

Resolution resolution

Admins can per default see all content replicated to BrandPortal.
Editors and Viewers cannot see anything.

Causes for this concern:

  1. Editors and or Viewers have not bee assigned to BrndPortal product profiles in adminconsole, or no folders worth of assets has been shared with these product profiles in BrandPortal.

Editors and viewers should be assigned to Product profiles in the
adminconsole. These product profiles are replicated into BrandPortal as
User-groups. The admin should then share folders worth of assets to
these user groups. That will then make those folders available to the
users assigned. Please be aware there is a lag of creating
productprofile/assigning users to product profile, and this being
replicated to BrandPortal. This can take up to 8 hours.
Here you can see an image of how it is supposed to work:
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-brand-portal/using/home.html?lang=en
and here is further documentation on the same:
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-brand-portal/using/share/brand-portal-sharing-folders.html?lang=en

  1. The sharing of the folders in BrandPortal was done before the sync from adminconsole to BrandPortal took place.

It can happen that folders worth of assets were shared with a product profile before the user-profile replication from adminconsole to BrandPortal took place. This can result in the share not working as expected. The action to sort this out is to login to BrandPortal as admin, edit the share and save it. Tis should then enable users of the user group the folder was shared with to see that folder in BrandPortal
