Configuration Manager shows error in “Upgrade Task Selection” wizard when installing service packs

If you encounter a Configuration Manager error during the installation of service packs for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms 6.5, when upgrading from versions such as 6.3 or 6.4, select the LiveCycle version you are upgrading from, or opt to install Adobe Experience Manager Forms without an upgrade.

Issue/Symptoms

Configuration Manager shows the following error message when installing service packs if your AEM Forms 6.5GA is upgraded from an older version like 6.3 or 6.4.

In English:
You selected “Turnkey Upgrade” option while installing Adobe Experience Manager Forms. Select the LiveCycle version you are upgrading from or install Adobe Experience Manager Forms without upgrade option.
In Japanese:
Adobe Experience Manager のインストール中に「ターンキーのアップグレード」オプションが選択されました。アップグレードの元となる LiveCycle バージョンを選択するか、アップグレードオプションを選択しないで Adobe Experience Manager Forms をインストールしてください。

Cause
AEM Forms 6.5GA is upgraded from an older version like 6.3 or 6.4.

Resolution resolution

In the Upgrade Task Selection wizard, choose the Forms version you upgraded to, during the 6.5GA update.
