This refers to a member profile, not a user. The objective is to blacklist a specific profile.
Resolution resolution
You can blacklist a profile in Adobe Campaign Classic using one of the following methods.
1. Mark the profile as “Do not contact on any channel”
-
In the Adobe Campaign Classic client console, go to Profiles and Targets
>Recipients. -
Open the recipient profile you want to blacklist.
-
In the profile, open the No longer contact section and set the needed fields to Yes:
- No longer contact by email (
@blackListEmail) - No longer contact by SMS (
@blackListMobile) - No longer contact by phone (
@blackListPhone) - No longer contact by direct mail
- No longer contact (all channels) (
@blackList)
- No longer contact by email (
-
Save the profile.
After you set these fields to Yes, the exclusion rules defined at the Delivery level prevent further contact on those channels.
Push notifications: If the profile receives Push, open the profile’s Subscriptions tab, locate the relevant mobile application subscription(s), and set the Disabled flag to Yes.
2. Add a typology rule to exclude specific profiles or email addresses
- Go to Administration
>Campaign Management>Typology management>Typology rules. - Click New. Set Type to Filtering and choose the Channel.
- On the General tab, click Edit the rule application conditions and define who to exclude in the query editor (for example, by email address or profile ID).
- Save the rule.
- Go to Administration
>Campaign Management>Typology management>Typologies, open the typology you use, go to the Rules tab, click Add, and add the new rule. Save the typology. - In the delivery (or its template), open Properties
>Typology and select this typology.
The rule runs during delivery analysis and removes matching profiles from the target.
Note: To apply the exclusion to all deliveries created from a template, assign the typology to the delivery template.
