Environment

  • Adobe Target v17.1.1
  • Google Chrome - 55.0.2883.87
  • Firefox - 50.1.0

Issue/Symptoms

An ‘X-Frame-Options’ console error shows up when loading URLs in the Visual Experience Composer (VEC).

Resolution

Chrome: Install and configure the Requestly extension

  1. Turn off the Enhanced Experienced Composer.

  2. Install the Requestly browser extension on Chrome.

  3. Open the extension and select Modify headers. Enter the following:

    1. Rule name
    2. Modification rules
    3. Toggle Add to Remove.
    4. Toggle Request to Response.
    5. Enter X-Frame-Options  as the header name.
    6. Change Equals to Contains as the condition for the source URL and enter the URL of the activity that you are trying to load in the VEC.
    7. Click Save.

Firefox: Install and configure the Modify Response Headers extension

  1. Install the Modify Response Headers extension on Firefox and restart the browser.
  2. From your Firefox extensions, select the Modify Response Headers extension.
  3. Click Preferences.
  4. Select Filter from the Action drop-down menu.
  5. In the Header Name field, enter: X-Frame-Options
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click Start.
