A great use case for Adobe Express, and Firefly is in generating image backgrounds for your PowerPoint presentation so you can make them more engaging. To start, go to the Adobe Express homepage and click the plus button on the top left corner. Here we can use the search box and type in presentation to find the right artboard. If your presentation is not widescreen or 1920 by 1080, you can always change the size by choosing the resize option here and typing your own custom size. However, I’m happy with the standard presentation size, so I’m going to start generating a background image using Firefly in Express.
We first go to media and you’ll see here the text to image option. Click that to insert a text to image box, which I can adjust to fill the entire page.
With that done, I can put in any number of prompts here in the text box and generate backgrounds to use for my PowerPoint presentations. For example, let’s generate an abstract background you’ve seen from other enablement sections how to tweak and change the type and look of content produced by Firefly. We can choose to make the style more photographic or arty. In this case, I’m going to choose a graphic. I can regenerate my image if I don’t quite like that. However, let us look at another example. In this case, I’m generating a photorealistic image and choosing the hyper realistic style.
So Firefly has generated a lovely image with options to choose from, allowing me to find the right image that best works for my presentation. Because you are working in Adobe Express, you can make further changes to this image. You can choose to introduce other elements. For example, a spaceship by using Gen Fill.
Just select this area, type in your prompt in the textbox and wait for Firefly to generate something for you.
You can also apply different effects to your image before downloading it. So for example, you might want to have an overall wash over your image like blue or red. You can tinted to make it feel more nostalgic and so forth. You can even change the brightness and image saturation or do any other basic image editing you may require. Everything is possible using Adobe Express. Once you’re done, just download your background to the recommended format, which in this instance is PNG and use this AI generated image in your PowerPoint presentation.
